What IS an “RP Guild?”

The third post in my Officer Meeting roundup is going to concern role-playing (RP).

Shadow Council (ShC) is a PVE-RP server, but it’s also an OLD PVE-RP server. Over the course of time, non-role-players have migrated to ShC because the PVE-RP servers usually have a higher level of maturity. Or did; I can’t really say if the maturity level on ShC has degraded, as I can’t see the forest for the trees.

It’s very important as a guild that was created and designed to augment the role-playing aspect of the server that we continue to reach out to the community and foster its growth. But before we can do that, we need to address problems that have made themselves evident during Wrath: Do we actually RP?

Raiding in Pox

As many people in Pox are aware by now, the Officers had a meeting on Friday, May 14. This was the first Officer meeting in ages, nearly a year, since Shryn’Dael’s player has been very sick in real life and lacking the ability to organize and devote time and effort into running the guild as much as she should. Now that she’s a lot better, she’s stepped right back into leadership with both guns blazing.

The second major topic discussed at the Officer meeting was raiding, and what role raiding has in Pox. To find out what was decided, read below the break.

Meet your Officers

Pox’s officers met last night to bang out some details. Wrath has been a bit of a “bleh” expansion for us, where we’ve wandered away from Pox’s original spirit and goal. We want to rectify that, and in the first of several posts I intend to make over the next few days, we’ll share our ideas.

The first step in our “re-energize for Cataclysm” scheme is hammering out our leadership. What are people’s roles and responsibilities? Who can people in the guild go to for certain things? Well, we’ve nailed it down, and here’s the info — all below the break.
