Hello everyone!
I wanted to take a moment and write to the most important part of Pox – its members – and wish you all a happy, safe, and love-filled Christmas holiday. If you aren’t Christian, I hope you take the time off to just enjoy a celebration of love, which is something that transcends religion and beliefs, and is core to Christmas.
I want to thank every person who has made my dream of Pox a reality. Almost three years ago, Pox was born after me and a friend had a falling out in our previous guild, one in which I was an officer. Together, Rykerr and I left and formed Pox. The only problem was I also happened to need eight other signatures. One of those signatures belonged to a brand new alt of a friend of mine, named Xannivard. It would be months before he played him regularly!
The other seven signatures I managed to get within a day or so, and on March 13, 2007, Pox was born. But it was an empty shell. I had a vision, and through these last three years, it has been YOU – all of you – who have made Pox what it is.
Thank you for that.
And thank you also for being the wonderful, loving and caring friends who reach out to help each other. You have been there for each other and you have been there for me. I hope, someday, I can balance the karmic scales by returning the kindness and assistance the people of Pox gave me during my months working in hell and then being unemployed.
I have three game cards here. By posting in this thread, you’ll be entered into the draw – but there’s a catch. You need to do more than just ‘post;’ you need to share your best memories of Pox with us. I’ll make the draw on January 14 – my birthday – and send the codes via forum private message.
Merry Christmas!
