Right in the middle of our RP workshop. We’re trying to get back in but if we can’t in a reasonable time, we’ll reschedule!
EDIT: WE’RE BACK!

EDIT: WE’RE BACK!
Wow, we’re a bastion of role-play. I have to say, I like the sound of that! Thanks, Mr. Grey!
As you may or may not have seen, our role-play workshop on Monday was featured on WoW Insider. These guys have been so great to us, so please give them a shout-out. HUZZAH! Thanks, WoW Insider.

P.S. — Someone grab us some new screen shots! I usually can’t during the workshop, I’m too busy!
Pox is recruiting. We need new blood. New-to-RP, new-to-WoW players welcome. Must be 18+ and open-minded. We are not running raid or pvp teams this expansion. Contact anyone in Pox for more info.
Do you want your guild listed on Pox’s guild page? Do you want your event featured both on our side bar and events page? Then get in touch with us here at ShC:Pox. We want to include this information on our website because fostering role-play server-wide is more important than simply ensuring Pox remains vibrant and healthy. Without a healthy server role-play community, a role-play guild cannot remain healthy.
Read on to find out what information we need from you or your guild to make this happen.
Event Listing
If you want to have your non-guild specific event listed on the Pox website, both on our ShC Events page and our at-a-glance sidebar, we need some basic information. Please send us an e-mail (Shryndael AT wearepox DOT com) with the event name, faction, host, time and location and an ‘about the event’ paragraph. If you have a small banner to go with it, even better.
Note: We do not list guild-specific events, i.e. weekly open guild meetings
Guild Listing
If you want to have your role-playing guild listed on the Pox website’s ShC Guilds page, we need some detailed information. Please send us an e-mail (Shryndael AT wearepox DOT com) with the guild name, faction, guild leader, an ‘about the guild’ paragraph, a listing of any regular guild specific events your guild hosts (this is where you can list your weekly guild meetings), and your guild’s website, if you have one.
Note: If your guild hosts a weekly event, but it is not specific to your guild (i.e. Speakeasy), we can still list it here. We don’t need two e-mails, though, so try to combine them!
The Shadow Council role-playing guild Pox, a Horde fixture since 2007, is bringing back its wildly popular role-playing workshop series Role-playing 101. Geared toward the new role-player, the shy role-player and the curious, the series tackles topics such as emoting, character backstory, popular role-playing add-ons, and IC/OOC conflict. Popularized due to coverage from mainstream World of Warcraft blogging website WoW Insider, these workshops see up to nearly 100 people per publicized events.
“I felt it important to reach out to the role-playing community,” Pox leader Shryn’Dael stated. “The communities on Role-Play servers diminish over time, as players quit or trade factions, or even switch servers. My officers and I thought it would be a great way to encourage more role-playing among both factions and throughout Shadow Council, not just in Pox.”
The series returns in November 2012, with the first date being set for Monday, November 5 at 7 p.m. MST (GMT-7). The events are held at the bonfire in Thunder Bluff. Those not from Shadow Council are encouraged to create a character to attend. Pox will even arrange for pick-up if they are contacted before the event. (Latecomer pick-ups during the event can sometimes be arranged, but not guaranteed).
Pox is a Horde guild on the role-playing realm Shadow Council. It has been a Horde fixture since March 2007, and in 2011 began hosting 'Role-playing 101,' a series of workshops designed to help the role-playing newcomer, the curious bystander, and established role-players enhance their skills, enjoy the game, and make new friends.
The leadership of Pox consider the guild a teaching guild. If you are brand new to World of Warcraft, brand new to role-playing, or even both, Pox is a welcoming environment that thrives on sharing information and teaching players the basics of the game. How you choose to enjoy it, in the end, is up to the player.
